I'm now working at Debenhams, Weymouth on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day to get as much Fiji cash as I can!!
On Boxing Day I start at 7am.. ouch!
Can't believe how soon it is now.. 20 days!! Finish work on January 2nd and fly out on the 10th!! Sooo excited :D
When I was eight I moved to Nepal in January 2002. I have since been to Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Laos, Greece, Slovenia, Russia, Cyprus, France, Scotland, Morocco and Switzerland. I have driven through many more countries while travelling in Europe.
I love to travel and writing diaries about my travel experiences to inspire people to go travelling themselves. Travelling is such a worthwhile adventure and I would definitely say travel broadens the mind!
I will be blogging about a few of my experiences whilst abroad as I have recently found some old diaries. These are very old and were written from 2004 onwards (I was 11!) therefore the language is very mature.. not! But I hope you will enjoy them and find them humourous (as I have!)
In January 2012 I will be jetting off to the exotic islands of Fiji in the South Pacific, to volunteer as a teacher for three months. I am extremely excited but also quite anxious to be flying on my own but I can't wait! I shall be using this blog to write about my journey and all my adventures when I get there. Through writing about my experiences, I hope to inspire others, especially teenagers to get out there, explore and discover. There's life outside the UK and Europe!
See my blog archives to read more :)
Just a note to say that annoyingly with Blogger you have to begin from the bottom and read up!
I haven't worked out how to change this yet so that the oldest posts are at the top and readers would read in order to read the most recent post at the bottom.
So you don't get confused please visit the blog archive which begins at 2011 and goes down to 2013 so that you can read my blog in order.
Hope this makes sense, thanks :)

Christmas Carols for Fiji?
I have had a new idea to fundraise for Fiji - carol singing door-to-door and sell mince pies/brownies. A lot of people don't appreciate carol singers so the mince pies is kind of a backup plan..
If I do this I will have to get my singing up to scratch.. and my knowledge of carols.. good idea?
Please comment :)
Sold some more jam to volunteers and youth workers at Dorset Youth Association, the total is now over £120! Thanks guys :)
Nearly at the £3000 mark now, yay!

The Fair at the Fort :)
The Brownies Christmas Fair event was actually held at the Nothe Fort in Weymouth, not at the school, oops!
Although it was raining I made £13.60 :)
Add that to the rest and the total = £113.31 just from selling jam and brownies, not bad! Thanks people :D

Holy Trinity Brownies Christmas Fair :)
Made some more jam today... well I helped with the apple coring and the labelling haha! Will be selling some this Sunday 11th December at Holy Trinity Brownies Christmas Fair, Cross Road, Weymouth, so come down and buy some for £2 a jar.. it's a bargain!
Tomorrow I will also bake cakes for the stall at the fair, probably brownies (I have a killer recipe!). They will cost around 30p, 50p if I make bigger ones :P
Also may have a donation box.. every little helps!
All funds raised will go towards my teaching volunteering trip in January - what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to put money towards a good cause, don't be a Scrooge! :)

Not long now!
Collected the tickets today, thank you Bath Travel! Cannot believe I will be in Fiji in a month and eleven days :D The time has gone so quickly..
Time to start thinking about packing.. Sarongs, mosquito net, bikinis, etc ~ How will I have enough for three months?!
I also have some fundraising plans too.. involving jam, brownies and Christmas, stay tuned...

Such an amazing song :)
When We Stand Together ~ Nickleback
Love this song, the lyrics are inspirational and highlight exactly what my trip to Fiji is really about.
